Hey Everyone!

Recently had my Meta onsite interview for position in London.

1st coding interview aced in 10-15 mins. Interviewer said I solved everything perfectly, we can spend rest of time chatting.

2nd was behavioral, recruiter said I’ve done it very well, they got all great signals to hire me for those E5+ roles.

3rd interview was coding, took too long time to solve 1st problem, for which interviewer asked constantly little questions few optimisations in the code, then had second problem which was harder, but was on a good path solving and interviewer extended 5 mins so I managed to solve it he said it is a good solution.

4th inteview was a system design… didn’t have any mock interviews for it so kind of lost time track, spent too much time on explaining things that I shouldn’t have… even though I think I gave a good solution for ticketmaster problem, had very little time to explain scalability and fault tolerence… explained minimally and then interviewer cut me as time was running out…

Recruiter told that I didn’t give them enough signals for system design… even though everything else was good…
He also apologised and said it’s a time where they have so many applicants that they can choose the best who solves everything perfectly…

As I’m still pretty updated on the interviews, would anyone be able to refer for google or microsoft positions?#engineering #software #meta
