Horrible interview experience at Google | L3 | Bangalore

Hi All,

I appeared for interviews of L3 role at Google after a recruiter reached out to me. It took about 1.5 months to schedule the screening round. I recieved the feedback the very next day that interview went well and 3 coding rounds will be scheduled. Two on Xth date and one on Yth date,

On Xth date interviewer didn't show up in any of the interviews. I waited for like 35-40 in both the interviews. I reached out to the recruiter via e-mail since they don't have a designated phone number. There was no response over the email before my interview on Yth so I appeared for it anyway.

This time the interviewer did show up and I was able to solve the given problem and the follow-up. I felt that even tough my solution had the same time and space complexity as the optimal solution, the interviewer wanted me to use a particular data structure which I had to use in the end.

I recieved a response from google-interview support after a week that my interviews will be rescheduled. Again the interviews were scheduled on the same day only this time, in the first interview, interviewer showed up. I was able to solve two problems in 45 minutes time along with their follow-ups so the interviewer was very happy and the all ended in 42-43 minutes.

For the second interview, I again mailed google-interview support and got the interview rescheduled due to the same reason. The interview was scheduled twice in the last two months and both the times, interviewer didn't show-up.

Now, the crazy part is that the recruiter reached out to me a few days back and asked when am I available for the interview. I told her about my experience that the interviewer didn't show up multiple times. To this she said that in the feedback she can see that the candidate did not appear for the interview multiple times -_-.

After hearing this I was stunned and felt stupid. This is a dream company for many people and the people who are there in the company are so arrogant that they are happy sacrificing someone else's career because they missed/forgot taking someone's interview.

Anyways, I told her that I already have an offer from a startup(which I have) and I don't want to progress further with Google.
