MY BACKGROUND:
Education: Mechanical Engineering from a Tier 3/4 college
Year of passing: 2021
Current company: A large service-based MNC
Designation: Software Engineer (mostly worked on low-code platform)
YOE: 2.3 years

APPLICATION PROCESS:
Applied through Linkedin easy apply and after a week got the interview invite.
Also the recruiter told it will be a In-Person interview at one of their Bengaluru Campus on Saturday.

For me it was the first time ever to attend an in-person interview, so I attended just to get some idea, like how the F2F interviews happen.

Round 1: This was purely a technical round and there were 2 pannel members.

  • Was asked to explain about my current project on a white board
  • Pointers in C/C++
  • Call by value and reference
  • Dangling pointers
  • DML and DDL
  • SQL joins
  • Write some basic SQL queries
  • Swap 2 numbers without using extra space
  • Remove all the duplicates in a string without using extra space

Round 2: This was a managerial round.

  • Asked about my current project
  • Any challenges I faced
  • Interest to work on a C/C++ product
  • Why my 12th percentage dropped w.r.t to my 10th percentage
  • Why do you want to switch

Round 3: This was just a discussion with the Senior Director and sort of not an interview.

  • Here he explained me about the product and the team which I will be a part of, in detail.
  • He also explained me the difference b/w a product-based company and a service based company
  • He also asked me about my current CTC and said I would get much more than this.

VERDICT: Offer, yet to discuss compensation.
