Interview Process

  1. Technical Phone Screen
    Medium Level slinding window question.
    Feedback: Optimal solution but there was a bug in code

  2. Onsite, Coding 1
    Variation of LRU Cache, Leetcode 146
    Feedback: Optimal solution but one bug in code, spent extra time in testing.

  3. Onsite, Coding 2
    Tree based question, it should be able to add new node given some constraints; get a random node with equal probability. both in O(1)
    Feedback: Positive

  4. Onsite, Coding 3
    Matrix based graph problem, variation of finding a path from position A to B given some constraints;
    followup: find from A1 to B1 and A2 to B2, the two paths must not cross
    feedback: couldn't solve the followup question, ran out of time

  5. Googliness
    feedback: positive

  6. Team Match
    feedback: team manager is interested

Recruiter shared the profile with HC after the team match round,
after one month, they informed the verdict is No Hire, due to the feedback on debugging skills and time management.

Mentioned that the overall performance was border-line and they will contact again in 8 months.

Meanwhile accepted another offer from a start-up.
Planning to apply for L5 next year.
