I want to share my recent interview experience and get some suggestions about my future actions.
I applied on the google careers website and was contacted by a recruiter after a few days. There was an online assestment to check if I am a cultural fit, which I passed. The recruiter asked me to fill up a questionnaire, which I did. But I was asked to fill the same questionnaire two more times (don't know why). After a few days I was informed that I did not fill the questionnaire and my profile was removed from the active roster. Fortunately, I sent the copy of the filled questionnaire(s) on my personal email and was able to resolve the confusion. Finally, I got my initial screening interview scheduled. A peculiar thing I noticed was that my recruiter replied to my email with a frequency of one per day.
A week from the interview, my interviewer sent an email with answers to FAQs, interview tips and expectations. On the day of the interview the recruiter sent an email to wish me luck and shared the same interview tips.
Tooling for the interview was Google docs for coding and Google meet for video conferencing. I joined 10 mins before the start of the interview. However, my interviewer never showed up. I emailed the recruiter after 10 mins of the scheduled interview time to let her know that my interviewer had not showed up yet and asked her if I should continue to wait. After waiting for 30 mins of the scheduled interview time, I sent her another email stating that I was dropping from the call since the interviewer had still not showed up and asked her to reschedule the interview. The recruiter has not responded to my email yet.
Should I re-apply on the google's career website or contact the same recruiter?
P.S. I need the job. :)
