Education: Tier-3 College, 2022 passout
Position: SDE1 at a mid range Product based Company

This is my second time interviewing for Microsoft. Previously gave 1 round of interview for different role and later the recruiter said feedback is positive but however the position went on hold. You can read that interview experience here.

This time a different recruiter reached out for a hiring drive that happened on 17th May. All the rounds happened on the same day with 15 minutes of gap between each round.

Round 1:

Discussion on REST APIs.
Discussion on the architecture of previous project and the design of a feature that I worked on.
Given a scenario, where lets suppose a given page is not working, what are the steps you will take to identify the root cause and resolve that. This nearly took 20-30 mins. Asked in depth details about each answer I gave.
Questions on API Gateway and Rate Limiting.
How do you implement logging so that you are able to debug issue using that logs.

Round 2:
HLD - Design a Service that is used to verify a given URL is malicious or not. Whenever user hits a URL on the browser, we need to use this service and perform actions accordingly.

This is one of the best round that I had till date. I got to know that my HLD skills are good :)

Round 3:

Low Level Design of Key Value Store.
Another followup to the 1st Question.
Questions on Disk Memory vs In Memory.
Few Questions on REST API.

Verdict: Did not receive any response from the recruiter. However all the rounds went really well. The interviewers seemed happy with my answers.

I did not follow up with the recruiter because I have an offer from Google and I wanted to proceed ahead with that.
