Education: Tier-3 College, 2022 passout
Position: SDE1 at a mid range Product based Company

Recruiter reached out to me via email stating that, there is a F2F hiring drive that is gonna happen and for that we need to qualify the OA.

Online Test - HackerRank:

  1. 2 Coding questions and 20 MCQ's - Don't remember the questions exactly, but they are LC Medium.

Recruiter mentioned that I have cleared OA and sent me invite for the F2F hiring drive.

Onsite Round 1:
This round there were a panel of 2 members and it lasted for more than 1.5 hour.
Questions Asked(I remember as of now):

  1. Digged around the design of the past project and the features that I have worked on.
  2. Explain CI/CD of your current project.
  3. Few SQL Queries: a) Find the nth highest salary of employee b)Given a scenario write the query using both joins and sub queries.
  4. Difference between IN, EXISTS, ANY etc..
  5. Have you ever used indexes? What are they needed for?
  6. https://leetcode.com/problems/longest-substring-without-repeating-characters/description/
  7. Height of a binary tree.
  8. Few questions around batch processing.
  9. Questions on Java and REST APIs. How do you handle concurrency.
  10. Have you ever worked on load on performance testing on your feature? How did you test that?

The interview feedback was very positive and they asked to wait for the 2nd round discussion with VP.

Onsite Round 2:

  1. Implement a recursive function that can print 1,2,3,4, 5.... and ...., 5,4,3,2,. You can write the function any way you want.
  2. One math puzzle.
  3. Questions around locking.
  4. Given a scenario, asked to comeup with the operations that may lead to a deadlock situation.
  5. Questions around my past experience.

After 2 days, a manager called me and told that I have been selected and will be joining their team.
