Current Title - SDE-1
Preliminary Round - Online Coding round. Don't remember the number or difficulty of questions.
Recruiter passed me to phone screen round.
Technical Phone Screen - Lot of Design questions, Kubernetees in depth, Capacity analysis, SQL queries.
I was expecting this to be a DSA round.
10 days later, recruiter said that feeback is good and we can proceed with Onsites. But I need to prepare a Craft assessment which will be part of onsite discussion.
Craft - Driver onboarding module for a ride management platform.
I spent 3 days to make this craft demo, since I knew they take it very seriously. Made PPT, Designs, Flow/Sequence diagrams, integration TC's, 11 working API's and also made a frontend react app since I had some extra time, although this was optional.
One week later, the recruiter said They were processing my application for SSE role ( idk why ) and this craft was also for that role. I guess that's why the TPS round focussed on design questions rather than DSA. Since my experience falls in SDE-2 range, and they don't have any role open , they put my application on hold.
One month later the recruiter called and scheduled my virtual onsites. 4 rounds in one day.
On the day of interviews, recruiter called me 2 hours before and again put my application on hold since the role got filled and they forgot to inform me.
10 days later, they finally scheduled the interviews.
Virtual Onsite 1 - Craft Demo
1 hour long round, 4 panelists, presented my design, live demo, TC's and then they asked few questions.
Virtual Onsite 2 - Accessor round
1 hour long, 2 panelists, they asked me to present my code and they asked me to write new functionalities, should be production ready and working with TC's.
Virtual Onsite 3 - Team member round
New panelist, he asked to show my craft's HLD and LLD and then asked lot of questions about pros and cons and improvements.
Virtual Onsite 4 - Hiring Manager Round / Behavioral Round
Questions about my work and past experience, around leadership principles. Standard HM Behavioral round.
Got strong hire in all rounds. The opening got closed by the time my process finished, so they had to match me with other teams, which took another 3 days. Got the offer 2 days later.
Experience - Unstructured process and inexperienced recruiters . overall a Bad experience.
