YOE: 4
Current Company: FAANG

Completed the HackerRank Aloha test. Both were easy-medium questions. First one was related to: https://leetcode.com/problems/repeated-substring-pattern/description/; other one was somewhat related to balacing parenthesis.

After the OA, got the interview call for f2f round.

First Round: In-depth work experience discussion. First question was an easy one [greedy -> hashMap]; second one started with jump game I worded differently; then to jump game II https://leetcode.com/problemset/all/?search=jump+game&page=1; Gave the optimsed solution to jump game problems and coded the logic.
They asked to further optimize the jump game II wrt space complexity; that part I couldn't complete.

Second Round: In-depth work experience discussion. Data modelling for hotel management. The interviewer seemed nice but was not interacting much. I gathered the requirment came up with entities but he insisted to do database modelling. Follow-up questions were there on design; dynamically increase fare of rooms, add room services. The interviewer seemed convinced. Next, he asked me a puzzle (I was super surprised); that I couldn't solve : 10 coins 5 heads; 5 tails, without seeing divide them into 2 groupd having same number of heads.
After this he asked about the full architecture of the current project; explained him. Then he asked behaviour questions; standard nothing fancy. I asked about the team for which I'm getting interviewed and pager duty responsibilities.
I was having good vibes after the interview and was kinda sure to get the call.

After two days got the communication that they found other candidate more suitable.

Not sure, what exactly went wrong.
