My Samsung Electronics On-campus interview experience 👇
I had the incredible opportunity to go through the interview process with Samsung when they visited my college in September 2022. The experience was truly memorable, and I want to share the details of each round to provide a comprehensive overview.
📌 Resume Shortlisting :-
The first step involved the shortlisting of resumes based on specific eligibility criteria. Samsung reviewed the resumes of candidates with a minimum CGPA of 7.0, no active backlogs, and a score of at least 7.0 or 70% in 10th and 12th grade. This initial screening allowed them to select candidates who met their academic requirements.
📌 Online Assessment Round :-
After the resume shortlisting, the selected candidates proceeded to the online assessment round. This round tested our technical skills and problem-solving abilities. We were given three hours to solve a question based on graph. The challenge was to pass all 50 test cases successfully.
📌 Technical Interview Round :-
Those who passed the online assessment were then invited for the technical interview round. In this round, I faced two medium-level DSA questions related to trees and linked list. The interviewer assessed my problem-solving approach, asked for different approaches to the problems, and expected optimal solutions. Additionally, we discussed important concepts of object-oriented programming, such as function overloading and function overriding. I was also presented with questions on operating systems, including topics like scheduling algorithms and deadlock. Overall, the interview covered a wide range of CS fundamentals, and we dived into a detailed discussion of my projects as well.
📌 HR Round:-
The final round was the HR round, the round began with introductions, allowing us to get to know each other better. Then, we discussed behavioral questions that gave me the chance to share my interests, hobbies, and strengths and weaknesses. Furthermore, we talked about my previous intern experiences, highlighting the skills and knowledge I gained during those opportunities. The HR round provided a chance to showcase my personality, communication skills, and alignment with Samsung's values and culture.
Finally, after clearing these rounds I got the offer from Samsung.
I hope aspiring individuals would get valuable insights and it would help them.
