Intuit Experience for SDE 2 (Bad Experience)

Had an interview with Intuit for sde - 2 role (again)

Last time, 6 months ago too it wasn't a good experience as

  1. i gave 3 rounds and in all of them the interwiever had their cameras turned off.
  2. It was especially nerve recking in the craft demostration when two people would just silently without video ask you to walkthrough the code
  3. Not to mention the homework they give for craft demonstration how its time consuming and they dont even ask questions on it they just want to question your system design skills

I couldn't answer the Java/Thread syntax specific questions in one round and got rejected

For the second time a recruited reached out to me again.

This time I was confident to crack it as I had prepared and had multiple interviews (Visa offer, ongoing interview from Microsoft, first round from Google done)!!!

They scheduled first round with a guy having same years of experience.
Round was coding and as expected the guy had turned off his video. I didnt even wanna waste my energy asking him to turn it on.
At the time of interview, their coding platform didnt work. We wasted time setting it up and then decided for some other time.

SECOND ATTEMPT -

  1. again no video
  2. He asked Merging K sorted LinkedList and I gave 3 approaches. He unncessarily got stuck in discussing how Heap works.
  3. I coded the final optimised approach and it worked on 1st attempt and he tried an Incorrect edge case (i had to correct him and tell the initial constraint of sorted lists)
  4. gave another question for which i was only able to produce the pseduo code for. I attempted to write it but there wasn't time left to make it correct
  5. the coding platform itself had screen sharing feature (and it was a web portal - everything could go wrong with a browser and screensharing + recording). 35 mins into the interview after screensharing, my voice started echoing and i had to pause while speaking because i kept hearing myself - happening because of this stupid feature

In the end i felt like it went ok but the recruiter informed me that I was rejected.
When asking for detailed feedback i was ghosted

Never applying for Intuit again : ) #greatplacetowork
