Never Give Up !! (Amazon offer accepted)

To all the people who think they are not gonna make it, read this out and maybe you will see ur life differently. Also, if you need any help regarding anything just comment and i will reach out to you.
I started my journey back in August 2019 when I landed in USA with bigger dreams. Everything felt easy as I was able to get admission in college with scholarship and easier visa process. I felt like on top of the world watching the huge skyscraper in NYC. The college started and I was having fun in classes not knowing about how to apply for internship and what to do and what not. Months passed and then I realised that I haven’t even made a resume yet and few of my friends already had internships. I started the process of applying to multiple companies but was not getting any response back. I felt heartbroken when even after 2 semester I was unable to get any internships. I finally got a chance in one company and in the final round they asked me 3 simple leetcode easy questions, but I failed them as I didn’t knew how to code. I realised my mistake in that and started learning how to analyse and solve coding problems. Algo.monster helped a lot in how to find approach for a problem. Leetcode also provides the best questions list and i would recommend getting premium to get list of wuestions asked in particular company. Then in third semester, I started applying to companies for full time opportunities. I started in August 2020 and continued applying to over 1300 companies and got few first rounds and then most companies rejected even after getting all assessment questions completely correct. I even gave final rounds in MarketAxess and Ebay during December 2020, but was unable to get into them, even after around 90% correct answers. I lost all the hope during February 2021 as I was graduating in May 2021 and few of my friends already had a good job offers. I was unable to study because of the constant fear of not getting any job. Then comes the days where I cried my heart out because of the frustration of not getting jobs even after I knew I had the skills to solve problems. I got assessment of Amazon and Audible around March 2021 but the same thing happened. Even after all perfect OA’s, I got rejected. For around 10 days, I stopped everything and went into denial stage where I could just think nothing and accepted that I wont get any job. Thanks to my family, girlfriend and my friends, I was able to come out of it and they motivated me to study because at the end of the day, I just can apply and study hard for any interviews I get in future. On May 12th 2021, I saw opening at AWS and applied with a referral. I got the OA’s and after that I got email from recruiter about final rounds at Amazon.(3 rounds). I knew this was my last chance, so started solving leetcodes daily from 8 am to 7 pm nonstop. I did 90+ LC Amazon tagged in 7 days. I was able to get offer after the interview.
I would really like to thank leetcode, algo.monster and CTCI. This three things helped me a lot in preparation. I would also thank my family and all my friends who stood next to me at all the stages and helped me score a good opportunity.
For people who think that life is unfair to u, I promise you there will always be a way for you in coming time that will change your life so don’t ever ever ever give up and continue your hard work for your dream. The journey from getting acceptance to college to getting a job was full of hardships and struggle. It was never easy and it would never be. The best way to live it is with constant hard work to full-fill whatever goal you have in life. Nobody is going to spoon feed you. Just don’t stop working towards your goal.
